Today would have been my grandmother's 104th birthday.

(She died in 1992, aged 89.)

(Note to self for next week: Take these family pictures you got from your mother to work to scan a few of them.)

When I worked for the university library, part of my job was scanning in pictures. Most didn't have anything written on them. What a shame to have that history lost. I promised myself that would be a family project, to label all the family pictures.

I know the years of my grandparents' birth, but not the date. They all died when I was rather young - in our family we seem to have children late.
Scanning pictures is good, I should do that, too.
