Awesome Sigur Rós Video

This was one of the first Sigur Rós songs I heard, and was immediately in love. The title, Viðrar Vel Til Loftárása, appears to mean "good weather for airstrikes" in Icelandic, but for all I know it could be their pseudo-Icelandic made-up language.

As for myself, I'm wiped from working more or less straight from Monday to Sunday. No time for any kind of social interaction beyond the absolute minimum. No LJ reading, email, feed reader, etc.

One of the last things I did today was to write a rather long letter to my boss...

Sorry to hear it. I had Hell Week myself, but mostly through going to meetings and gym, and having my birthday dinner on Friday night and an all day meeting on Saturday.

I hope we can catch up before Hell freezes over...it sounds like your work situation is a bit unfortunate and I hope it gets better.

Hey, Happy Birthday, and many happy returns!

That's what I mean by no social live -- I actually knew it was coming a week after TrawnaPanda's.

But yeah, last week saw the worst I've ever seen in decision-making (even if the actual decision may have been the right one), and then a WHOLE lot of hyper-super-urgent work. In the middle, my most senior direct co-worker had a death in the family, and it was Diwali (which is significant as a bunch of co-workers are Indian).

Anyhow we may be through the worst. Or not. And I will stick around for two more days and then take a break.
