  • 23:28 dear lazyweb, is there a way to see in Safari what form variables are posted (like with FF webdev toolbar)? must debug ReCaptcha: it fails. #
  • 23:37 ok, it's ReCaptcha. totally broken for xhtml. my choice right now is to either require Javascript or serve the page without a DOCTYPE. Ugh. #
  • 23:42 @kevinmarks thx, have to figure out how the debugger works. could rewrite templates to HTML 4 (or 5) - it was XHTML 1.0 strict :( #
  • 23:48 @surial why? convenience. needed a quick forum and only tweaked the template a little. it's not-quite-validating XHTML now. #
  • 23:52 @surial hm, thanks, that #
  • 23:53 @surial thx that's helpful (the bad idea). the problem is the iframe inside the noscript element. Safari is dogmatic about invalid XHTML. #
  • 00:19 @surial @kevinmarks any suggestion for reading up on HTML5? this is a worse mess than I thought. will have to use a HTML DOCTYPE. #
  • 09:35 good weekend - re-enabled ECDB forum registration with reCaptcha, learnt how to use non-existent HTML5, passed mock-exams. back to work now. #
  • 11:26 Unlikely sentence I actually wrote of the day: "Any deviant line endings will be obliterated." #
  • 11:39 @FindingAda I once met Eve Curie. She used to introduce herself as "the one in her family who didn't win the Nobel Prize". #
  • 11:55 @ciscodisco I'm getting "Party Poker" popups from the link you just posted. Not good. #
  • 15:40 is being conservative again. #
